ICT Administration will work with Business community to promote culture of trust March 18, 2013
Meeting at ICCI
Local Administration is working on many projects to facilitate the business community so that they could smoothly promote business activities and strengthen the economy. 
This was stated by Mr.Tariq Mehmood Pirzada, Chief Commissioner Islamabad while addressing the business commuinty at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). Mr.Amir Ali Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Ch.Muhammad Ali, Director Admin, Mr.Akbar Hayat Rana, Director Development, Mt.Muhammad Basheer, Director Industry & Labor, Malik M.Afsar Khan, Director AES (HEC) and Mr.Farasat Ali Khan, ADC Revenue were also present on the occasion.
Chief Commissioner informed the meeting that ICT administration intended to establish a District Health Hospital for the citizens of Federal Capital, adding that Ambassador of Azerbaijan committed to donate an amount of $1.5million for this hospital.
He said that ICT Administration was giving top priority to the uplift of rural areas of the capital and new development projects were being launched to raise the living standard of the people and providing them requisite facilities. Mr.Tariq Mehmood Pirzada also requested representative of business community and other welfare organizations to come forward and takeover rural health centers to provide better health services to the masses. He also accepted the proposal of ICCI of taking representative of Islamabad Chamber in Quality Control Board.
Chief Commissioner said that there was no doubt that citizens were facing problems due to pickets and barriers but these were necessary to ensure tight security, however, he instructed Ch.Muhammad Ali, Director Admin to review these pickets and barriers so that people of Federal Capital could be facilitated in a better way.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI said that good coordination among the business community and administration is vital for smooth functioning of the system which eventually results in creating a healthy society.
He highly appreciated the notification issued by the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad for withdrawing conferment of power upon Director, Social Security, Government of Punjab as Collector 1st Class within the revenue limits of Islamabad Capital Territory and termed it a positive step. He said that its a very wise decision as this arrangement will provide better social security services to industrial workers of Islamabad.
Mr.Bakhtawari said that Islamabad was the hub of shopping, therefore he also called for removing of unnecessary pickets and barriers which were put on different points in all around the city and causing immense problem for the commuters. 
ICCI President said that ICCI also urged the Government to give representation to the businessmen in the boards of directors of CDA and other government institutions which would ultimately create an environment of trust between the business community and Government.
Mr.Munawar Mughal, former President ICCI said that said that local bodies system must be introduced in the Federal Capital like all other cities of Pakistan so as the people of the Capital might also enjoy the fruits of the system.
