ICCI for immediate promulgation of rent control act in Islamabad to avoid rent disputes April 20, 2013

A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) led by its President, Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari visited F-10 Markaz for congratulating Mr.Tahir Abbasi on his election as President and Mr.Ahmed Khan as General Secretary of Traders Welfare Association F-10 Markaz. 
 
Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI thanked Traders Welfare Association members for giving them such a warm reception and  said that business community is playing a key role in the development of national economy and government should pay attention to their problems for finding out their optimum solutions.
 
ICCI President said that promulgation of Rent Control Act in Islamabad is a long overdue issue and urged upon the local administration as well as the federal government to immediately promulgate this act in Islamabad to cope with the rising trend of rent disputes between owners and tenants.
 
He said that Islamabad Chamber of Commerce doors are open for traders and industrialists all the time and they should get ICCI membership to provide strong support to ICCI in promoting their interests. He said ICCI has now emerged as a strong institution to serve the cause of business community and emphasized that all businessmen of F-10 Markaz and other markets should get membership of ICCI.
 
Mr.Bakhtawari said that a campaign will be launched for resolving the residential problems of businessmen in Islamabad and efforts will be made to construct multi-storey buildings in commercial centers of Islamabad by getting land for this purpose to sell these to businessmen on no profit no loss basis.
 
Mr.Tahir Abbasi, newly elected President of Traders Welfare Association F-10 Markaz said that these interactions provided an opportunity to discuss problems being faced by traders of different sectors and appreciated the role of ICCI for highlighting their problems at relevant forums for resolving them.
 
Other newly elected members of Traders Welfare Association F-10 Markaz also addressed the gathering and expressed hope that present ICCI leadership would work with a mission to work for the welfare of all traders and industrialists.
